Thanksgiving Blow-up

Hey Sunflowers! How are you today? Well, however you're feeling, it must be good, for today is the last day of November. I can't believe a month went by so fast! I haven't been posting in a while, so I thought it might be good to do a review of my thanksgiving. It was quite eventful. Here is the story.

We drove down the rocky road to Mimi & Papa's house. Wii bowling tournament, here we come. Once we arrived, we ate turkey, ham, and most importantly, GRAVY! During lunch we shared some jokes. My mom couldn't get this joke out of her head, and laughed so hard every time she said it. How do you not burn a Hawaiian pizza? Put it on a aloha settin'. It's becoming pointless, but it's a good joke. Then, me and Hannah went for a ride on the four-wheeler around the yard. When we were parking the four-wheeler, dad and Isaac were about to go on Bluey (Mimi and Papa's Kawasaki). We hopped on and went with them, up and down hills. When we were back, we came inside to a very sad/disappointed Emma. She didn't know we went on Bluey, and got mad. Welp. That's what happens when you watch YouTube instead of spending time with your family. Me, Mimi, and Hannah went downstairs to play some Wii. I gave my controller to Hannah to play. I walked up the stairs, just as a loud crash happened on the patio. I was upstairs at the time, but Mimi said she opened the slide door in the basement, stepped onto the patio, and saw her son, (my dad), with white smoke covering around him. "Josh?" She called, and the white smoke covered him from view. Now, let me tell you have happened. My dad was trying to start up a 20 year old Go-Kart, because my cousins were coming back from North Carolina for Christmas, so Papa told him to go start it up to see if it was good for the grandkids to ride. (Me, Emma, Hannah, and my cousins, Lydia, Allie, and Kaylee). Papa bought some new tubes for the tires, because they had holes, and put them on the kart. So.....we owe him new tubes. They have a huge hill in their front hill, where dad went flying. So, my dad was starting the Go-Kart. He hit GO, and it surely did. It started right away, and was flying! My dad help onto a pole on the Kart, trying to stop it from going and maybe crashing into the house. It dragged him across the front yard, and it crashed into the stairs, but kept going. It destroyed the stairs, and it flew off the retaining wall, then started spinning in circles, and took off toward the retaining wall, and crashed into it. The retaining wall wasn't that tall, Thank God. Anyways, flying over the wall, it flipped and the oil was tipped. The running oil caused it to smoke. It was hilarious. Dad was laughing along with everybody else. We all went out there at the scene, and were laughing so hard. When we were sure he was okay (and asleep), we called Kristen and told her what happened. She was very sympathetic, but she didn't even know what really happened, because Mimi was laughing so hard she was crying trying to tell the story. I will never forget that story.
